Dear Friend of Varina Schools,
Varina is a most wonderful place to work, play and raise a family. While we are lucky in so many ways, Varina is not always treated fairly when it comes to our schools. A perfect example is the decision to delay building a new eastern Henrico high school from 2010 until 2013. As a parent and community leader, I find this delay is unacceptable. If Henrico County can spend millions of dollars to purchase Tuckahoe little league baseball fields and to build a new little league baseball stadium in Glen Allen, we should have a voice on the School Board advocating for new and renovated schools for Varina’s children.
If you share my passion for public education, please take a moment to complete a short survey and share your thoughts with me by clicking here. Please tell me what you believe to be the biggest challenges and opportunities facing Varina schools.
I have also attached a recent press release that I hope you will review. Then please take a moment to visit the campaign website, www.electmontgomery.com, to learn more about my family and me, and what we have been doing in Varina over the past several years. On the website, there are options to volunteer, learn more, or donate online or by mail.
We can do so much more for our students, teachers and parents. Please help me bring Proven Leadership for Varina’s Future to the Henrico school board.
Sincerely,
John W. Montgomery, Jr.
