Welcome, Friends of Varina Schools!

On your way to shop for school supplies or to attend open house night at your children’s schools, you can’t miss the growing enthusiasm for our campaign and an even brighter future for Varina’s schools.

The race for Henrico’s School Board may seem to be just beginning, but like you, I know that our kids’ education is a year round commitment. This summer I have visited every school in the Varina District, elementary on up, and have met with administrators at each one. In addition to listening to our principals and vice principals I’ve been hearing what parents need and want from our schools so we hang on to what makes them great and work toward making them even better. Thank you to everyone who responded to our online survey this spring!

Check out our updated website, www.electmontgomery.com, to find out how I intend to serve the Varina District by making sure that our classrooms, from kindergarten to graduation, are a safe, enjoyable place for both students and teachers where our kids prepare for successful futures.

We will work together to make Varina’s schools a source of pride, but first I need your help so that I can represent and serve you, our teachers, and our children.

How can you help? Just by talking to your neighbors. We need volunteers who will make phone calls to district voters, stop by homes in their neighborhoods with campaign information, or invite friends and neighbors to their own homes for a “meet-and-greet."

I’ve already talked to over 1,000 voters over the phone or at their doors, but I can’t reach every voter in the Varina District on my own. With less than two months until Election Day, I need you out there with me so voters know what’s at stake on November 6th!
